Raquel Plans | La Cabina
This installation opens a new season of artistic events in La Cabina, a venue that was conceived to connect visual and audiovisual arts, among others.
Herencia is transforming La Cabina into a mausoleum. An action that aims to show the audience the threat posed by the irresponsible excess of plastic waste at the hands of humans.
Raquel Plans graduated in Fine Arts and is currently working as an Audiovisual Media professor at the Pancho Lasso Art School.
She has been given several awards such as the First Prize at the Arte CajaCanarias 2002 Contest and the First Prize at the Línea Blanca Siglo XXI Contest organised by the International Contemporary Museum in 2009.
At her individual exhibitions, she explores concepts related to our condition as humans, concepts such as memory, identity and communication, as well as our approach to a world that is in a moment of crisis.
