The building that houses “El Diablo” restaurant is the work of César Manrique, and is formed of several cylindrical one-storey structures. The main structure, the restaurant itself, is completely enclosed in glass, which allows a panoramic view over the area at the same time as creating a sensation of lightness or zero gravity. This extraordinary integration of human creativity and nature gives rise to what is, without doubt, one of the most impressive works of art in the world. While the ovens of El Diablo take advantage of the natural heat produced by the earth to prepare unique dishes, under our feet, at a depth of just 10 metres, the earth boils at almost 300 degrees centigrade. The extreme heat rises to the surface and is reflected in unforgettable experiences that amaze the visitor.
