Surrounded by the grape growing landscape of La Geria close to the Monument to Fertility dedicated to the farmers of Lanzarote, this space is the work of César Manrique and forms part of the network of Centres for Art, Culture and Tourism run by the Cabildo de Lanzarote (Lanzarote’s local government). It is committed to the use of local products and the menu highlights
the traditional agricultural and fish-based dishes of the island, reinventing classic dishes with an innovative touch. We suggest trying garbanzada de pata de cochino canario con chorizo (chickpeas stewed with Canarian black pig and chorizo sausage), corvina hervida en mojo rojo con papas bonitas (sea bass boiled in Red Mojo sauce with local potatoes), pellas de gofio (bread made from roasted maize flour), bastones crujientes de queso de cabra ahumado con mermelada de cactus (crisp sticks of smoked goat’s cheese with cactus jam), La Santa prawns, carne de cabra compuesta (stewed goat), sancocho canario (fish stew with potatoes), Canarian black pig, and for dessert, volcán explosivo sobre tierra de brownie (volcano exploding over brownie).
