Who are we?

Lanzarote Film Commission is the film office created by the Sociedad de Promoción Exterior de Lanzarote (SPEL) with the aim of facilitating the work of companies and professionals in the audiovisual sector who wish to film on our island.

We offer our information and advisory services free of charge to production companies, agencies and audiovisual companies, supporting them as they make decisions on filming, recording or photographic shoots and helping them optimise their human, material and financial resources.

Lanzarote Film Commission is also responsible for providing information and promoting agreements and actions aimed at consolidating and facilitating these shoots and serves as a link between public bodies and individuals, and the audiovisual industry.

We also have the institutional backing of the regional government in collaboration with Canary Island Film and, consequently, of the main Film Commissions: SFC (Spain Film Commission), EUFCN (European Film Commission Network) and AFCI (Association of Film Commission International). Furthermore, we recently joined Profilm, an association of production companies that carry out projects with third countries in Spain, and Cine Regio, a European network of regional film fund. Here the objectives are the exchange of knowledge, film policy and co-productions.

Why Lanzarote?

Lanzarote offers innumerable attractions to become a film set: its landscapes are diverse and attractive, black and white beaches, volcanic landscapes, charming towns, cliffs, roads, and marinas within a very short distance from each other.
